Holeshot v1.2 Has Been Submitted to Apple

Posted February 17th, 2010 in Holeshot by Tim Miller

A new update to Holeshot Drag Racing has been submitted to Apple for approval. The updated version will included the following changes:

- No longer requires you to create a local profile!
- Updated the christmas tree lights to be more realistic
- Reaction Times now display as 0.000 to reflect NHRA and IHRA rules
- Minor tuning to AI (computer) driver
- Updated Reaction Time Help screen
- Performance improvements
- Upgraded to Unity 1.5.1
- Upgraded to Agon 1.4.1

The big change is that Agon used to require you to create a local profile even if you weren’t interested in tracking high scores and awards. This was pretty annoying and probably caused some of you to nuke the game. Sorry about that.

The update should be available in a week or two depending on App Stores approval load.

Rocket5 Is Going Strong

Posted February 6th, 2010 in Holeshot by Tim Miller

Thanks for asking! I haven’t had time to add any new posts since Thanksgiving because we’ve been seriously hard at work on our next game! I’m planning to post some screen shots and possibly a work-in-progress video pretty soon.

Holeshot Drag Racing has been getting a few 1-star reviews since our last update which added Agon Leaderboards. I’m concerned that this might be because the version of Agon that I used required users to create a local profile even if they weren’t interested in storing their scores on line. This can be a real turn off if all you want to do is run a few races without having to sign in. The latest version of Agon is more streamlined and doesn’t require this local profile. I’m looking into upgrading now and hopefully will be able to submit an update soon. For now you can just put in some giberish text (like “xxx”) to get past that screen.
