We made a Flappy Bird fan game that’s going to be a companion to our next Unity tutorial. I’ll post the tutorial just as soon as I have time to record the video. In the meantime, play Rocket’s Flappy Flight.
I ended up making this game while digging into why people were so freaked out about Flappy Birds, I mean it’s pretty rare when something blows up on the internet like it did. What I discovered is that there’s a surprising amount of depth and polish to this frustratingly addictive little game that demonstrates how minimalism in design can lead to very big things.
